The Pakistani media is an irresponsible, ignorant and thoughtless body, it is immature and has no moral values, code of ethics and have not any set of standards, philosophy, and ideology. Being the fourth pillar of state and a medium of information, education, and entertainment it has the responsibility to build the nation make legends of the nation and should have built the minds of depressed people of Pakistan.

Media is responsible for building the ideological foundation of Pakistan by reviving in the memory of people the lost and forgotten lesson of Allama Iqbal and Quaid e Azam Muhammed Ali Jinnah.
The modern world is the world of media, information, and cultural transformation. A vibrant media can paint the picture of a country in blue or black. We have a glaring example in our neighborhood India where Indian media has concealed the increasing fanaticism, violence, poverty and miserable plight of women from the eyes of the world.

Pakistan by the grace of Almighty has matchless social and cultural values. We also have intellectual assets; we have writers, actors, singers and comedian of international repute. By promoting our own talent, we can earn a good name in the comity of nations. But our media organizations have a conservative outlook, they are followers, not leaders, and they do not have the ambition to be creative.
It seems that our media organizations have no vision, mission, and code of ethics, philosophy, and ideology. They are leading a state of affairs like a rudderless ship in an empty ocean. Sensationalism is Achilles heel of Pakistani media as a whole.

Our media organizations and TV channels feel proud and create sensationalism by putting the news of Indian actors and films with necked dance in news headlines of peak time. While doing this, they lamentably ignore that they are not only promoting vulgarity and Indian culture but also unconsciously eroding our own social and cultural values.

In addition to this Pakistani media has created a matchless example in the world by playing movie songs especially Indian songs in the news of matters pertaining to national interests, for instance in the case of model Ayan Ali TV channels discussed her fashion, colors of the dress and played song accordingly while giving news.

They were forgetting that she were the convict of money laundering case and has been caught red-handed by looting the wealth of the people of Pakistan. Instead of portraying her convicted criminal they showed her as a heroine or model. By doing this, they psychologically lower the intensity of the crime she had committed.
“Media is a double-edged sword”. Ironically, Pakistani media in the case of model Ayan Ali played doubly it not only eroded our cultural values but also lower the intensity of crime that she had reported to committed, in the eyes of people.

“media has the capacity to convert a hero into a villain and a villain in hero”  so Pakistani media portraying money launderers (case of Ayan Ali) terrorists and murderer convicts as heroes. It is, in fact, inspiring youngsters to do everything wrong and you will be regarded as a hero.
